Ant infestation

Fascinating! They enter through my windowsill in search of sugar and other sweet foodstuffs. I squash them but have now learnt to leave the bodies. They return and drag the dead back to their nest serving both to tidy up for me but also waste a trip for them. They come back for more food, I squash them and the game is played yet again - a war of attrition waged in the grubby recesses of my kitchen.
To think, if I'd started a good 20 years ago I could have been a serial killer by now. Story of my life...
